Form/Roll Taps

Form/Roll taps can be used for processing both through holes and blind holes, and the thread is formed by deformation of the material without chips, which is good for tapping non-ferrous materials. It is different from the working principle of the HSS cutting tap. It extrudes the metal parts and deforms it to form an internal thread. The extruded internal thread metal fiber is continuous, with high tensile and shear strength, and the thread surface is also high polished.
It has following features:
a. Use the plastic deformation of the workpiece to process the thread;
b. The cross-sectional area of the tap is large, the strength is high, and it is not easy to break;
c. The cutting speed can be higher than that of cutting taps, and the productivity is also increased accordingly;
d. Due to the cold extrusion process, the mechanical properties of the processed thread surface are improved, the surface roughness is high, and the thread strength, wear resistance and corrosion resistance are improved;
e. Chipless machining.
